The Opportunity.
We have the incredible opportunity to travel together on a mission trip to Africa this summer with a ministry very near and dear to our hearts called Painting Freedom.
Painting Freedom provides innovative, compelling, and visual depictions of the gospel through a variety of art forms. Both of us fully believe in the power of art and story to communicate God’s beautiful story of redemption.
The Why.
This past year has been a wild ride for us—getting married, establishing a home, navigating career transitions, and watching God give us different dreams and shape our paths together.
We believe this trip will not only allow us to serve others and see the gospel reproduce, but be a pivotal time in our relationship to dream of what ministry as a family could look like. God has been kind to lead us to an opportunity to combine our love for travel and our desire to authentically serve Jesus.
The Mission.
We’ll be traveling into the bush of the east African wilderness in the country of Tanzania to minister to the Datooga tribe. We’ll spend two weeks partnering with the local community to serve children through VBS programs, help build a church, and share the Gospel through open air outreaches.
The people in these villages are amongst the poorest and least served populations in the world, and we believe that bringing them the love of Jesus Christ will impact them in tangible, long-lasting, and eternal ways.
